EPG was contracted by NV Energy and Ormat Construction to provide biological monitoring over portions of the Goodsprings Waste Heat Recovery Project. EPG staff conducted clearance surveys for desert tortoise and monitored construction activity throughout the Project area. Desert tortoise burrows were excavated and tortoises relocated as per U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) protocol by EPG staff. EPG provided environmental compliance training to all construction personnel on site during the Project. EPG staff maintained close communication with NV Energy and Ormat providing weekly status reports.
