EPG was contracted by PacifiCorp (a subsidiary of Rocky Mountain Power) to conduct surveys for Utah prairie dogs and rare plants along the proposed 160-mile, single-circuit 345-kilovolt transmission line. EPG biologists conducted surveys following approved protocols in areas of potentially suitable habitat. EPG has continued to assist in the environmental compliance portion of this project by providing biological monitors during the geotechnical testing phase of this Project. EPG biologists have monitored sites within known weed infestations, in areas of rare plant populations, and in areas with sensitive wildlife populations, such as prairie dog colonies or active kit fox burrows.
