EPG, together with Dibble as the Prime consultant, were contracted by ASU and the City of Phoenix to prepare Phase 1 construction documents and provide bid assistance and construction administration services for the ASU West Campus Community Park. The 40-acre park located on the West Campus of Arizona State University at the northeast corner of 51st Avenue and Sweetwater Avenue includes two lighted soccer fields; two lighted baseball fields; a restroom facility; open turf play areas; hardscape; parking that also facilitates rollerblade hockey; basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts; a playground; an amphitheater; landscape buffers; park lighting; an automatic irrigation system; and significant earthwork, including a central drainage channel and two large retention basins to accommodate retention requirements for the campus. Phase I includes development of 13 acres of the site. This park will be maintained by the City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department and be utilized by both ASU students and faculty and the surrounding community. |
