EPG served as the prime consultant, responsible for coordinating a comprehensive team of subconsultants to master plan five future community park sites for the Town of Queen Creek, Arizona. The Five Parks Master Plan is a continuation of the Town’s comprehensive planning efforts to address the recreational and family activity needs identified in their Parks Trails Open Space Master Plan.
The five park sites ranged in size from 14- to 130-acres and were designated as active, passive or special use community parks. The two sites identified as active community parks (78-acres and 130-acres) are to include facilities such as athletic fields, buildings or structures for recreational activities, court games, children’s play areas, dog play areas, and multi-use trails. The two park sites identified as passive community parks (14-acres and 23-acres) are to include facilities such as landscaped areas, natural areas, non-landscaped open space, picnic areas, ramadas, amphitheaters, or jogging/walking trails. The fifth park site (33-acres) has been designated as a special use park for a community equestrian center.
