EPG was the lead consultant for this City of Chandler 13-acre neighborhood park. The project was set within an established residential neighborhood, adjacent to an elementary school. Park facilities included open multi-use turf areas suitable to accommodate softball and youth soccer. Court games included lighted volleyball and basketball. A variety of play equipment was provided for various age groups in several areas. Decorative shade canopies were provided for both the play equipment and picnic areas. The core of the park was designated as an active use area and it incorporated a large, circular, hardscape form accented by flowering groundcovers and a continuous shade tree perimeter. Existing pedestrian sidewalks were utilized and new curvilinear walks were added to connect the park facilities and help enforce the free-form curvilinear nature of the site design.
