Quartzsite Solar Energy Project – Arizona

EPG was selected as the third-party EIS Contractor for the Quartzsite Solar Energy Project near Quartzsite, Arizona. The BLM is preparing the EIS in response to Solar Reserve’s right-of-way request to construct and operate a 90 to 250-megawatt solar power facility. The solar power generation is based on concentrating solar power technology by using heliostats to redirect sunlight onto a receiver erected in the center of the solar field. EPG staff is working closely with Solar Reserve, BLM, Western Area Power Administration, and other cooperating agencies to successfully complete the preparation, review, and distribution of this EIS in a timely manner.
