EPG assisted PacifiCorp Energy with preparation of state and county permit applications (i.e., conditional use permits and building permits) to install meteorological towers in support of development of three wind-generation projects in Wyoming. The projects are located in Albany, Carbon, and Natrona counties and each project consists of installation of several met towers ranging from 60 to 80 meters in height distributed across several square miles of land. EPG coordinated preparation of the permit applications, including correspondence with the respective county planners and the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments. The permit applications included documentation of engineering/design specifications for the meteorological towers, land ownership, and environmental/site conditions, as well as standard mitigation measures to minimize project impacts.
