APS – Doney Park 69kV Transmission Line and Substation Project

EPG assisted Arizona Public Service Company (APS) with completing an environmental assessment and right-of-way application for a 69kV transmission line and substation to be located on land administered by Coconino County and on United States Department of Agriculture, Forest Service land under the jurisdiction of Coconino National Forest (CNF). EPG identified several preliminary transmission line route alternatives, construction options, and a preferred alternative approximately 2 miles in length. EPG assisted APS with the public scoping process of conducting an open house for the project and collected and tracked public comments. An environmental assessment has been drafted in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The project included coordination with federal, state, and local agencies including the CNF, Coconino County, and the Doney Park/Timberline community. In addition, EPG compiled a project record, documenting all pertinent project correspondence and reference materials according to Forest Service requirements and guidelines.
