Sigurd to Red Butte No. 2 - 345kV Transmission Project – Utah

EPG has been retained by the BLM – Cedar City Field Office and PacifiCorp (Rocky Mountain Power) to prepare environmental compliance studies and assist with obtaining required permits for a new 160-mile single-circuit 345kV transmission line. The transmission line would cross five counties, two BLM field offices, and two national forests.

EPG, as the third-party contractor to the BLM, will conduct the environmental studies and analyses and will prepare the EIS for review and approval by the BLM and cooperating agencies. In addition, EPG will assist the BLM with the Endangered Species Act Section 7 consultation with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the National Historic Preservation Act Section 106 consultation with the State Historic Preservation Office. EPG is also supporting the BLM to develop a comprehensive public involvement program that will be integrated with the EIS process. The anticipated in-service date for the project is 2014.
